Jobboard Finder’s opinion

Jobboard Finder’s opinion Summary: C.C. Consulting Co., Ltd, which owns CareerCross, was founded in 2000. Both efficient and affordable (according to the website), it offers the high Japanese standards at a lower rate. Furthermore, the traffic has been going up: there are now a little under 187 000 visits a month, with only a third of those coming from Japan. More good new for foreign users: the site is available in English and Japanese. There are 1 817 followers on LinkedIn, 94 on Twitter (nothing new since 2018) and 1 930 on Facebook. There is also a Link account. Design: There is a small search engine (keywords) at the top of the page, but it is far from featured on the homepage. Instead, users can choose from different lists, displayed in panels: all jobs, Kanto, Kansai, Tokai and Overseas (each list displays the offers by category). You can also click on a featured company or recruitment company. In the job listing, different filters appear above the list. What’s interesting is that the number of offers differs slightly on the English version to the Japanese one. The offers appear as large boxes, including the logo, publication date, deadline, etc. The filters are also on the right-hand side of the offers. Each job has a standard, clear layout. The job board objective: The name of this job board refers to crossing borders for one’s career. By offering access to job offers across borders, CareerCross lets jobseekers find work they love overseas. Recruiter observations: To advertise, you must contact the team. Jobseeker observations: It is easy to create an account, but you must include some information concerning the desired job and the language skills (among other things). The job offers: There are currently 5 049 offers on the site. Most of the jobs are in IT and telecommunications, followed by sales. Reactivity: The team answers quickly. Special features: The company details; sample job interview questions; interview, resignation letter and cover letter guide; the job board statistics; the salary page (which can be sorted); the testimonials; the job search trends. Verdict: Most sites in Japan, which are translated into English, target foreign employers and jobseekers. This one is no exception. It’s helpful to be able to find work despite the language barrier, so that’s a plus. However, if you really want to tap into a larger candidate pool, it is best to use this site in conjunction with other local ones.
