Jobboard Finder’s opinion

Jobboard Finder’s opinion Summary: LinkUp, which used to be known as JobDig, is an America job board. The president and CEO of the company, Toby Dayton, has been leading the team to develop the business since 2007. However, JobDig has been around since 2000 and still has a LinkedIn page. The site references jobs from over the internet, based on data, which is updated every day. The team uses this data to gain a broad insight into the labour demand across the US, so that investors can better understand the economy. The site attracts as many as 1.29 million visits a month, from the US mostly, but Canada and the UK also visit the site. On social media, the team has 2 641 followers on LinkedIn (for LinkUp), 14 600 on Twitter and 9 450 on Facebook. You can find videos online for more information concerning the company (see the CEO’s LinkedIn). Design: The search engine (keywords and location) is the focus of the homepage. The rest of the site promotes the different services. In the listing, there are no logos in the listing, just publication dates. The filters are the radius, the publication date, all of these words, none of these words, these words in the title and the company. The offers can be sorted by relevance (best match) or newness (most recent). All the information is clear, and some offers redirect you directly to a company site. The others have a standard layout, but you still have a button redirecting you to another site for the application process. The job board objective: LinkUp is all about the data, and how companies can use it to their advantage for hiring (or other purposes). Recruiter observations: To post an advert, you must contact the team through the contact form. Jobseeker observations: Jobseekers can easily create an account but they don’t need one to apply for jobs. The job offers: There are approximately 20 000 jobs on the website. Reactivity: The team answers very quickly. Special features: The blog (three different ones: jobseekers, data and employers); key figures; webinars; case studies; whitepapers; the press section; the awards; job alerts. Verdict: LinkUp is definitely an interesting service. Jobseekers can use it for job opportunities, but recruiters and companies will find a different type of service, which other sites can’t offer.
