Jobboard Finder’s opinion Summary: Created in 1999 by David W.Kent and bought by the DHI Group in 2010, Rigzone is a large specialist job board for online resource in the oil and gas industry. A few years after selling, Kent created another job board, Oilpro and tried to hack old website to steal client data, which lend to him being sentenced to a year of prison and three years of supervised release. In 2018, DHI Group sold the last of its nontech job boards to the management team at Rigzone. Today, Rigzone attracts 982 120 but only 27% of that comes from the US (followed by the UK, Canada, India and UAE). It has a large following on social media: 85 826 followers on LinkedIn, 94 900 on Twitter and 180 170 on Facebook. Design: The search engine (keywords) appears over a backdrop image of different power plants. The homepage also suggests articles, displays Europe news, oil and gas prices and articles from the staff. Once in the job listing, the filters (skills, locations, company, and experience) appear on the right-hand side. Additional keywords are suggested under them. You can also see the number of job offers in each category. Job offers display publication dates, location, required experience, job title and the company name. The oldest job offers on the website are a year old. The job board objective: Rigzone strives to bring those in the oil and gas industry together. Recruiter observations: Recruiters and jobseekers create the same type of account. Prices are online and you can see how many CVs are in each category. You cannot preview your advert before purchasing it online. Jobseeker observations: To apply to offers, you need an account. The job offers: There are currently 4196 job offers on the site. Reactivity: There are a number of e-mail addresses to contact the team.
