Overview

Site's statement Zhaopin is a leading career development platform in China, providing career and development opportunities for your entire career. On June 12, 2014, Zhaopin (NYSE: ZPIN) officially went public on the New York Stock Exchange. After the IPO, Zhaopin actively pursues strategic transformation to cover the entire career of job-seekers as a starting point to create a "3-power-3" product model for students, white-collar workers, high-end professionals and administrators, matching 3 types of products: (Who I am), online recruitment (what can I do), education and training (how can I improve), and create a platform for the overall development of people in the workplace through three channels: online, offline and wireless. In order to realize the strategic transformation from "Resume Warehouse" to "Talent Processing Factory", a closed-loop ecological chain will be built for China's talent market. Zhaopin.com provides one-stop, systematic and professional HR solutions covering more than 50 cities across China with about 3,000 employees in total. Since its establishment, it has provided professional recruitment services for many multi-national corporations and local enterprises. It also boasts rich experience in a variety of industries, especially in IT, automobile, finance, real estate and fast moving consumer goods.

Jobboard Finder’s opinion

Jobboard Finder’s opinion Summary: Zhaopin, also known as Zhilian Zhaopin, is the 3rd most popular job site in China (with most of its activity coming from the country) so it's definitely a site to keep an eye on when recruiting in Asia. The site is partially owned by Seek, the largest job board in Australia, but they have been selling off some of their shares. They have an impressive 8.33 million visits per month and they share information on WeChat and LinkedIn (4 741 followers) but they don't have pages on Facebook or Twitter. You can find more information about the company on the company page including awards, recruitment services and different and job opportunities. Design: Much like many sites in the region, when you click on different pages, they open in a new tab instead of changing the current window. This can be a bit unusual for Western users. The other feature is the QR codes to connect to different pages and accounts through the site. The homepage has a big search bar and some categories along the side of the page. You can also choose to start your search by choosing a city, by checking out information on companies, by browsing top positions and more. Jobseekers can post comments, which show up as a feed. This same feed page (zq.zhaopin) has other information about a variety of topics (salary, looking for employment, HR space). The job offers show up asa grid with only basic information (the job title, the company and the salary). Companies also have pages and the logo is the main feature (before you run your curser of it to see the summary information). The job board objective: Zhaopin uses its algorithms to match companies and jobseekers as efficiently as possible. Recruiter observations: Recruiters will have trouble finding any information on the site without first creating an account (with a phone number). Jobseeker observations: To log in, you can use a QR code, a phone number or an email address. However, to create an account, you need a phone number. The job offers: There are thousands of offers on the site every category. Reactivity: To contact the team, you have a contact number, email and chat window. Special features: The Network Alarm Service; the commercial license; the blog; the best employer award (and other honours of the "About Us" page); Verdict: There is no doubt that Zhaopin is a great website, which has tried to adapt to both the Asian and Western market by simplifying its layout and still offering an abundance of information. That said, the phone numbers and QR codes (and lack of language options) make this site difficult to navigate from overseas.
